Question of the Day #53

When in rain, bowl.

The great thing about bowling is that everybody has their own way. Whether you're World Champ or Gutterballer Supreme, it's all about style.

Yesterday, we discovered Tara's 1-2-3 warm up swings.
My brother's fast and furious strikes.
And for the first time, I shared my "slow bowling" technique with my family.

Good or bad, hilarious or admirable, we all have our own bowling techniques. So what about you? How do you bowl? (And you know you do bowl - one way or another.)

xoxo,
Suzanne

  1. I bowl, and I bowl very badly. I ALWAYS end up pulling a hammy... that's how I roll.

  2. Now with kids we put the bumpers up. It really helps my game!

  3. I just kind of chuck the ball and hope for the best. This brings unpredictable and mixed results, but is invariably fun!

  4. I haven't been able to bowl since I herniated three disks a few years back, but being left handed, I would approach from slightly to right of center, bowl over the second arrow to the right, and follow through on my swing, aiming my hand towards the center pin. It usually worked, although like pool- mellowing out with a few pitchers of beer usually helps as well :)

  5. I love bowling. Haven't done it in many years though. My bag and ball and shoes that no longer fit are in the loft storage in the garage. Been there since I bought the house, um, 7 years ago.

My style was more of a mow them down thing. Sometimes my ball was airborne about a third of the way down the lane. I was trying to moderate to a more smooth style, but no dice. Just not me. No subtlety.
