The Sound of Music aired on television last night and I watched it, start to finish, complete with ads for the "Trapp Family Lodge," starring Maria's actual grandson. (You gotta love Vermont.)
No matter where I am, it's a yearly ritual to forgo the TiVo and pay homage to one of my favorite things.
What movie will you watch on TV - commericals and all?
xoxo,
Suzanne
The Sound of Music is definitely the one movie I can watch over and over and over! Nothing else comes close, but if I had to pick a second, I'd say When Harry Met sally.
ReplyDeleteI was switching between The Sound of Music and The Notebook. Two movies I wouldn't miss!!
ReplyDeleteMoonstruck! Some of the lines from this movie have become family jokes!
ReplyDeleteLike, "Why do men cheat?'
"because they fear death."
Classic.
I remember watching this in your back house in West Hollywood....I think we may have had colds...but we sang every single song...it may be the only musical I know all the way through, oxmonique
ReplyDeleteI would like to be a Von Trapp.
ReplyDeleteAny love for the Wizard of Oz? Fame? Those two make my list.
Anything Adam Sandler, Dumb & Dumber, Elf, anything Will Farrel or Steve Carell... anything funny. :-)
ReplyDeleteHow could I forget the Wizard of Oz!!!!
ReplyDelete"If I only had a brain?"
click your heels Lisa D.
I love the Sound of Music. I know every word to every song. And Elf...omg, we watched that twice this Christmas! The kids love it and I can't help but laugh out loud. That is such a great movie!
ReplyDeleteThe Sound of Music is a good one. Been craving Love Actually lately, but that's only because the Benjamin Button commercials are using music from it.
