A fat bolt just fell out of the desk chair I'm sitting in. I turned the chair over and searched for where it could have come from. I have no idea. And of course, I threw out the instructions my cheap IKEA chair came with.
So the bolt is on the floor and I am in my chair. For now.
What instructions have you thrown away that you wished you kept?

Suzanne
Not sure I ever threw them away, but I can never find them when I need them. Good luck finding the missing bolt!
ReplyDeleteThe ones on how to be a functional and productive member of society. yikes.
ReplyDeleteWe file them away then forget to use them! :-)
ReplyDeleteI'm right there with Ara, I keep them, but can't find them when needed.
ReplyDeleteOne of these happens to be the instructions for my cell phone.
The Ikea furniture ones. There's probably a bunch others too, but I haven't needed them yet. :D
ReplyDeleteToo many to list. Perhaps they are just misplaced :0)
ReplyDeleteNow if you can go on line and maybe find the instructions for your chair........Oh, who am I kidding.
H. A! Simply V!
ReplyDeleteThe back of the chair just fell off! LOL!
ReplyDeleteWe keep SO many directions from all the toys/legos/gadgets etc. But we are moving in the next few months and I don't think I kept all the Lego directions from all the sets displayed in my son's room. I don't know how in the world we are going to disassemble and reassemble them without them!
ReplyDeleteMy guess is the directions (from IKEA) were probably in Swedish so I'll spell the remainder of this with my Swedish accent. Ya shoor, Yim, da eng-ga-neer from Chicago, tinks dat ven da bolt fell it vas da vun dat holds da back on! This is an approximation of the Swedish accent I heard from various relative (who I loved dearly)while growing up.
ReplyDeleteHow to raise a teenage girl... oh wait, I never got any instructions for that. :) Seriously, though, a bolt came out of my desk chair yesterday too. How weird is that?
ReplyDeleteI once had one of those build-it-your desks and kept all my instruction guides in a draw, but lost the instructions telling me how to unlock the draw.
ReplyDeleteI have them, I'm sure of it. They were right here a minute ago.... You know the ones, the instruction book on how to follow instructions?
ReplyDeleteI can't think of any off hand. There's always the Internet. You can usually find them there. I know my husband has downloaded things for his CPAP machine online.
