Question of the Day #566

When I was a kid, I wanted be a rock star. I sang at school talent shows, in choirs, and at fairs. When my mother had friends over, I belted out a show. I sang for anyone who would listen to me.

When Star Search came out I was convinced that I, too, could be a star.

Alas, I now sing in the car or occasionally at karaoke. (And I'm totally cool with that.)

When you were a kid, what did you want to be when you grew up?

xoxo,
Suzanne

PS - Can you believe this question hasn't come up yet???

  2. You ARE a rock star already! And I have always thought you're the most spectacular singer, and as I always say "this isn't your last stop." Some time down the road you just might be performing on the big stage... you never know.

What did I want to be when I grew up? Exactly what I'm doing now. I wanted to be a "businesswoman" working in a big office. I never wanted to be a chef even though it's my first love, because I didn't want to ruin a hobby by making it a profession. So here I am, the "businesswoman" I always wanted to become. And I love every day of it!

  3. I'm with Beck - still figuring it out. Would have loved to have walked on the moon or blasted off in the shuttle, but trigonometry & statistics got me in trouble back in the day...se la vi!

  7. I'm amazed by people who can sing - I couldn't hold a note if my life depended on it. You've got a great voice - it gave me goose bumps the first time I heard it.

I wanted to be a nurse. Then an artist.
After that I just kind of rolled with where life took me - and here I am. :)

  8. Vet -- I later worked as a vet assistant, so I got it out of my system.
