This question is borrowed shamelessly from E Money's Facebook status update: "The other day I heard someone say that Forrest Gump was a crappy movie. What movie other people raved about do you think stinks?"
Excellent question E Money! I vote for Titanic. I couldn't believe the horrendosity. (Oh yes, that is a word in Suzanneland.) And people I know, eh hem, make that people I'm related to, went back to the theatre three times for a triple dose of awful.
What do you think?
xoxo,
Suzanne
I think Brokeback Mountain was overrated.
ReplyDeleteOkay, this one is really old, but my husband bought the dvd of Airplane the other day. I think because the rest of us were buying books at B&N he felt the need to walk out with something. He put it in the other night and we BOTH fell asleep. And how many sequels did they make of that movie? It was SO lame!
ReplyDeleteShucks, you took Titanic. Definitely a terrible movie. This could be punctuated by the fact that I'm not a big fan of DiCaprio.
ReplyDeleteLOL! Love the pic!
ReplyDeleteI would say Monster's Ball, Training Day and, well, I have never been able to sit through Dirty Dancing.
Unforgiven. The year it won an Oscar, I couldn't believe it beat out Boyz 'n' the Hood.
ReplyDeleteAs I stated on the post, Gone With the Wind is my choice. Zero redemption for Scarlett, and Grett is obviously the person the story should have been following from the beginning. He's really the only one that comes full circle. NOT a good movie.
ReplyDeleteThe Blind Side. Stupid, predictable movie. Sandra Bullock deserved the Oscar though for spectacular acting. The movie itself was overrated.

ReplyDeleteSorry for the delete -- I wasn't thinking popular movies. Just really bad ones came to mind. LOL! My husband raved about Fun With Dick & Jane, but I didn't think it was all that funny.
ReplyDeleteTitanic stunk! Anything with Clint Eastwood stinks, especially when he pared up with Meryl Streep (who I love!) in Bridges of Madison County. Dirty Dancing was a terrific movie, culture cutting especially for it's time. I'll stop now :)
