Question of the Day #290

Tomorrow I'm catering a Fantasy Football draft party. So the next 24 hours is all about creating manfood. But what's weird is that it's been chilly and overcast and all sorts of weird. It feels like November and football is starting and the summer is slipping away and I only got to the beach a couple times.

I'm bummed about the change of seasons and we don't really even have seasons! Are you feeling the change of seasons where you are? How are you feeling about it?

xoxo,
Suzanne

  1. High of only 69 degrees in Chicagoland today -- 74 degrees tomorrow. Definately on the cool side for August. Mid 80's on Tuesday. Summer's been a bit cooler than the norm, but I'm good with that.

  2. I'm just up the coast from you and we were actually talking about the fact that it never got hot this summer (not that I'm complaining!) and it's already fall. It's actually sprinkling right now--that never happens in July in CA!

  3. There was some talk about an El Nino or something and that's why hurricane season should be mild this year. I guess it's giving us less heat and (hopefully) more rain. We need it!

  4. Summer finally hit Toronto this past week so we're enjoying the heat.

  5. Summer finally has arrived in Vermont as of last week. We are thrilled. Of course summer in Vermont is always a guess. There is the cartoon of a man speaking to wife saying, "What do you want to do this summer?" She replies "Well if it comes on a weekend, let's have a picnic"
But seriously, this summer has been CRAZY! cold and rainy, so last week has us all excited.
Unfortunately, the trees are on their regular schedule and there is a dullness to the vibrant greens and just that hint of yellow.
But then I love the Fall too :).

  6. One of the many things I love about Virginia is that our summer weather usually lasts through much of September. There will be an occasional cool day, and you might not want to swim - but generally the long-sleeves don't come out before October. By then, I'm ready for a change.

  7. We're just starting to get a glimpse of Fall here in GA but it's still pretty hot & humid. Unfortunately, Summer here is too hot/humid to do much outside so I'm really looking forward to the cooler days of Fall.

  8. I've been wanting to bake but it's way too hot. I love summer but I'm looking forward to the cooler weather. And as much as I hate to say this I'm looking forward to it getting dark earlier, only in regards to putting the kids to bed.
