Question of the Day #451

I was lying in bed and thought of a great question. Then I got up, went to the bathroom, got my banana and a Diet Coke, turned on the computer and forgot the question.

I can't even remember what subject matter it dealt with. Was it a story with a question tied into it? An "if" question? An either/or? Five random questions?

I'm only 37, but I feel like my brain is slowly dissolving. I have to write lists or I leave the supermarket without the key ingredient I went there for. Stories people tell me evaporate. I forget things I have to do.

How do you feel about your memory?

xoxo,
Suzanne

  1. I had a really funny reply to this question, but now I can't remember. As for shopping lists: 3 items or more -- list required. Oh, and so you know, the memory doesn't get better by 59.

  2. I don't have the best memory. Like you, stories/experiences fade from my mind. It's kind of sad because even though your past doesn't cease to exist, if it doesn't exist anymore in your own mind, it's like it doesn't exist at all. Hmm, enjoy the present moment and keep working on those crossword puzzles!

  4. My memory stinks - it always has. It never used to bother me, until I married a person whose ability to remember things is, well, unbelievable.

    wait, what was the question?

  6. My long term memory is horrible! I get so sad when people are talking about the fun things we did and I'm just standing there, like a dope.

In the past, my short term memory was crazy good. When taking exams in college, I could literally see the pages of my text books in my head. It used to get my friends so angry!

Today my short term memory is, well, horrible but I think it's because I'm always running in 3 different directions. I just don't pay attention because I'm in survival mode.
