Lisa D and her toddler made a birthday cake for her other daughter's first birthday. She said, "It's the funniest, most horrible looking cake! But it's made with looooooooove so it's fantastic in all it's ugliness."
It looks cute to me, but apparently it slopes in one direction - big time.
What gifts have you teamed up with a kid (or made on your own) that have ended up a little lopsided?

Suzanne
I think it looks fantastic ... and, I'm so impressed that she let her toddler help - - what a great parent!
ReplyDeleteI think the cake looks great!! I'm a sucker for sprinkles. :D
ReplyDeleteNot really a gift, but the decorations were bottom-heavy on the Christmas tree this year, thanks to the help of a certain 4-year old.
We made paper gifts for X-mas. Like cards to each other, rings to hang around the tree, etc...
ReplyDeleteYou are too kind. It really did slope and wasn't too pretty but who the heck cares...it's cake! I make a lot of things that don't go as planned, especially with the kids. Most of the time it's pretty funny! I tried to make my mom an apron with the kids hand and fingerprints all over it. Sounded cute. Um, it turned out to be an apron with big splotches of brownish paint all over it. Just what you want when you're cooking, right? Oh well, maybe I should try it again when they are older. Oops.
ReplyDeleteAnytime I make a cake it turns out lopsided, which is one reason we've become partial to birthday brownies.
ReplyDeleteThe cake looks great to me! A few of mine have been lopsidded since moving here. I finally learned to adjust for high altitude and that helped a lot. Some of them simply fell over, which was looking a whole lot worse than Lisa's cake here.
ReplyDeleteGreat. Now I want cake.
