Question of the Day #428

So after arriving at B's last night I realized I left my laptop power cord at my house. Since I fought two hours of LA traffic to get here, it wasn't like I could dash home and get it.

I was pretty annoyed with myself. What item have you been annoyed with yourself for forgetting?

xoxo,
Suzanne

  1. I am very forgetful! I recently left my puppy's kennel in another state we were visiting! (I'm borrowing my mother in law's now thankfully. My puppy is cute, but she's a chewer and there's no way I'd leave home and leave her free and unattended!)

  2. I never forgot anything worth telling about, but one time on our way to a family camping vacation, my dad forgot my sister's Barbie Doll collection... on top of the car. By the time we back-tracked to get them, my sister had a whole collection of limited edition "Tire-track-faced Barbies."

  3. I was so annoyed with myself for leaving my wallet at my parents’ house … two weeks in a row. I had dinner with them one Saturday night. On my way home from dinner, I stopped at the store, and that's when I realized I left my wallet at their house which is an hour away. Fortunately, they didn’t mind meeting me half way to bring it to me. The following week, had dinner with them, headed home, stopped at the same store, and UGH realized I left my wallet at their house, again. My parents thought it was funny. I did not. I was thoroughly annoyed with myself.

  4. Twice this week alone, I've dressed the kids up in layer after layer of winter gear, wrangled them all into the car, buckled them in, handed out pacifiers, drinks etc... just to head up the street and I notice, the trees are fuzzy and I can't read my street sign. Big sigh. Crap. My contact lenses.

  5. I forgot my wallet today. I noticed this at the car dealership where it was booked for repairs.

  6. The first morning out on a three week trip, J asked for fresh underwear when he came out of the shower. There was none! I had forgotten to pack underwear for him. Fortunately, it just took a trip to the local Walmart, and he was well supplied.

  7. I forgot to bring a snow shovel with this morning to help get me out of the commuter parking lot tonight. I made due with the lid from a storage bin that was in the back seat though. (Did I ever tell you I liked the TV series MacGyver?)

  8. I made a calendar for this year with pictures of my girls and my niece, gave copies to my mother and brother and CAN'T FIND MINE! It is driving me crazy. Now I have a crappy restaurant calendar in my kitchen because I refuse to give up on this one because I know it's here... somewhere.

  9. I always get home from the grocery store and realize I forgot some key ingredient and have to go back. I've had days where I went to the grocery store three times. Pitiful, I know.

  10. It wasn't recently, but about a year ago. We drove 6+ hours to Great Falls for a convention and when we got out of the car to get the luggage, I realized I had left both of my boy's suitcases in their room. We had to go to Walmart just so they had clothes to wear that weekend. Not exactly a fun shopping trip.
