I just finished applying for a job and it took me like 45 minutes to write a three paragraph cover letter.
And I'm a writer.
It's so hard to explain why I think I'm right for a job without sounding like a moron.
What's the hardest part of job hunting for you?

Those first few minutes of the interview always kill me. Once I get in the swing of things though I relax and all is well. It's just a nervous thing. I hate those questions like; Describe a time in your life when you had to make a difficult decission and what the outcome was. But then my wife says I can BS like no one else so I tend to do good with those questions as well.
ReplyDeleteThe resume, because it's a hassle actually spelling out all the stuff done in the course of a job. Sort of like breaking down a whole ms into a pithy, one-paragraph blurb.
ReplyDeleteI'm intimidated by the whole darn thing! It's been a while and I'm rusty. I'm hoping to avoid the interview process altogether and start something of my own. Time and motivation is desperately needed.
ReplyDeleteI found you! I'm going to follow you! LOL!
