Question of the Day #72

If you look at a weather map of the U.S. you'll notice that the entire midwest and New England are purple (like the natives' toes) reflecting negative temps.

Did I mention that it's been 80 degrees in LA for the last week and it's forcasted to last through the weekend? (Which I will be happily spending with GB at the beach.)

What's your weather like? And how are you dealing with it?

xoxo,
Suzanne

  1. Hi Suzanne! It's been in the high 30s here in NW Montana lately. We really needed this because we had close to 3 feet of snow on our roof and were starting to freak out over that a bit. The warmer temps have really thinned it out. It's in the 20s today and foggy, so it's not as bad as some other places. My ILs live in Ojai, CA and said it was 88 degrees yesterday, plus the Santa Anas were going. Those winds always made my head hurt, so I don't miss them one bit.

Have fun at the beach this weekend!

  3. Since my future is in Wisconsin with my Honey, I'm enjoying LA's warm weather as much as possible. Going hiking tomorrow morning and the shooting range on Sunday.

  4. It was -14 when I landed in Burlington. I had a fairy godfather start my car for me before I landed and he even had to put air in my tires!!!! On the drive home the weatherman was talking about the morning lows and Rochester made the list at -22!
Needless to say the wood burning stove is crankin'.
    Gotta love VT!

  5. We are at an overcast, gloomy 49 degrees. It's the kind of cold that just sort of settles in your bones and keeps you feeling cold all day long.

  6. It is freezing cold in NJ. I long to be down the Islands! The cold and the guy who put the wrong tile on my bathroom walls made for a very irritating day.

  7. I'm here with you (at 70+, depending on time of day) and loving it. I spent Christmas in Maine - there is a reason I moved out of New England and much of it had to do with thermometers...

  8. I generally love the weather in the northeast. I'm a sucker for the excitement of spring, the allure of a gorgeous New England fall and the charm of a snowy Christmas but, But, BUT I am shaken, literally, to the bone with these insane temps! It is supposed to drop to single digit temps tonight and I am wearing 2 pairs of socks, a long sleeve t and full long underwear under my sweatpants and sweatshirt. I think it's safe to say I am California dreaming today.

  9. I don't envy anyone dealing with extreme cold, and I know people would want to pelt me with snowballs for saying this, but it is possible to get sick of a heat wave in January. There is such a thing as too much of a good thing. As Rena said, the Santa Anas make my head hurt!

  10. I'm loving the warm weather! It'll be over soon enough, so I'm enjoying it while it lasts. It's been so clear down here in San Diego that we can see both Catalina and San Clemente Islands off the coast. Absolutely gorgeous!

  11. I hate you, but in the nicest way possible. It was 6 degrees when I woke up today, and I was happy because it's so warm.

Which all goes to show that everything is relative.
