Question of the Day #1,089

Do you believe in love at first sight? Why or why not?

xoxo,
Suzanne
(PS-Before Kelly asks about my answer, I'll say, "no." But I wouldn't mind if someone inspired me to believe in love at first sight. ;)

  1. I don't believe in love at first sight. I believe in "SERIOUS attraction at first sight". I have never loved someone until I decided they were a person that would appreciate being loved.

  2. Yes. I believe because it has happened to me.

  3. Yes, I totally believe in love at first sight (and fate and all that "meant to be" stuff).

  4. Ha! You know me so well!
Yes and no. I believe as Little Miss Sunshine said, "Serious Attraction at first sight" for humans.
Though the first time my hubby and I saw our first puppy, we seriously fell in love with her at first sight. I knew I loved her right away!

  5. Totally agree with Little Miss Sunshine State. Sometimes it seems a wild attraction can pop out of nowhere!

  6. Absolutely, and I treasure that moment.

  7. I do. Why? Because that's how it was for me and my sweetie and we've been married now for 26 years.

  8. No. I believe in attraction at first sight - those fireworks that can go off when you meet someone. But love takes time and getting to know one another before it happens.

  9. Lust at first sight, definitely. Love at first sight? No. Love takes time.

  10. No, I don't. It takes a while to develop true love. I don't think you can actual love a person until you really know them. Which you don't know until after you have known them for a while and spend time together. Not just looking at each other.

You can be attracted to people immediately ... no doubt. But that doesn't equal love.

  11. I agree with Ara -- people usually experience lust first and love later. But I suppose as with anything else, there are exceptions.
