How much money would it take for you to quit working forever?

    Well I don't work anymore, however I used to think a million dollars would be enough to quit work for. I however don't think that is enough now days to live on for the rest of your life. So I would have to say Five million. :-)

    Interesting question that need lots of thought. For me, someone who is only ten years from retirement, about $500,000 would do it.

    I have a simple plan though. Buy a small house overlooking a mountain or a lake, and I'm set.

    I'm a simple girl. If I had the interest only from $750,000, that would be great.
    But I could get by with the interest from $600,000.
