Question of the Day #988

Yesterday, while driving through Beverly Hills, C and I passed a house which had a giant Statue of Liberty on the front lawn.

I'm a big fan of freedom, but I'm not sure I'd choose to plant Lady Liberty on my lawn.

But if you had to put a statue in your front yard, what kind of statue would it be?

Suzanne

  1. A big ol' peace sign. Either that or a replica of the bat mobile.

  3. A big ol' statue of the Blue Wiggle. ;)

Nah, seriously, probably a big wooden bear statue. They're all over here, but are so expensive.

  4. I have to confess, I had huge Statue of Liberty for awhile. I bought it from a neighbor who was selling her store. So I bought it for my store!
Used it on every patriotic holiday for our porch displays. One year when I away, my staff turned her into Mother Earth!!! She never was the same again.

  5. I have a large 2-3 foot stone face in my back garden that could just as easily go in my front yard. Or, I've always liked those bird feeder/bird bath statues of Saint Francis of Assisi. Or, an inukshuk could be cool...

  6. Or an Easter Island face. Okay, I'm done now, really. :)

  7. An Angel. Not a cute cartoony, cherubic angel, but a strong archangel...probably Raphael.

  8. I'd want a replica of the Arc de Triomphe.

  9. As soon as I read this, I thought FLAMINGO! And the first comment is flamingo! Right on! :)
