Last night, I attended a small birthday dinner for Little J. Somebody brought red velvet cupcakes.
I'm pretty good at avoiding sweets, but I'm a sucker for cupcakes. Chocolate with vanilla icing are my all time faves. I go gaga for carrot cake cupcakes with cream cheese icing and red velvets make me swoon.
What's your favorite cupcake?
xoxo,
Suzanne
Red Velvet, all the way. I made some for my friend's True Blood birthday party. Delish :-)
ReplyDeleteAnything with lemon in it or on it. What somebody needs to make is a lemon cupcake with lemon filling and lemon icing, I personally haven't come across one.
ReplyDeleteI'm a Red Velvet fan too... YUM!!
ReplyDeleteRight now, it's the red velvet bundtini with cream cheese frosting from Nothing Bundt Cakes (a bundt cake store that has franchises). It has mini chocolate chips in it. Hands down, the best red velvet I've ever tasted.
ReplyDeleteChocolate with more chocolate on top
ReplyDeleteChocolate with more chocolate! Or yellow cake with chocolate frosting! Bonus points for chocolate chips in the batter.
ReplyDeleteRed velvet looks pretty, but it doesn't really have a taste. I think it'd be cooler if it had a unique taste. Just my additional $.02
ReplyDeleteLOVE cupcakes. One of my favorite birthdays was the year mom ordered all cupcakes instead of one cake. Dark chocolate with super-sweet buttery icing and sprinkles is my fav. Although I recently bought a cupcake book and am tempted by many of the recipes there - I'm contemplating doing a cupcake of the month plan.
ReplyDeleteThanks for reminding me that my daughter saved one that she baked for her HS kids (she's a teacher). At this instant in time, confetti w/Halloween sprinkles is my favorite, but I'll dream about that red velvet tonight.
ReplyDeleteI am no good at avoiding any sweets. I seriously had a cookie for breakfast.
ReplyDeleteI love cupcakes. I'll take any that I can get. and I love frosting too!
Chocolate with cream cheese frosting. Yum.
