Recently, I began cooking for a family a couple times a week. With three kids who have football practice, piano lessons, violin lessons, dance class, cross country practice (and those are only the activities I've heard about so far) these parents are running about a thousand carpools a day, not to mention running their own business.
So it's easy to see how they have little time to cook. Meanwhile, I'm having a great time cooking up Suzie Foods at their house. So everybody's happy.
If you could have someone come and help you with one household chore, what chore would you choose?
xoxo,
Suzanne
I'd say dusting because I hate it, but that seems lame since there's not a whole lot involved there.
ReplyDeleteMaybe cleaning the bathrooms. Yeah. Having someone else take that over would be great!
Laundry! It never seems to end.
ReplyDeleteClean my bathrooms. I love vaccuuming, dusting, and laundry. Please send someone to help clean my bathrooms.
ReplyDeleteScrubbing the tub! By the time I'm done, my shoulders hurt and I need a shower.
ReplyDeleteI would gladly barter ironing for bathtub scrubbing.
LAUNDRY!
ReplyDeleteThat is awesome for you and for them.
ReplyDeleteI actually have a cleaning lady once a week so that is awesome for me! :) When my first child was born, my very generous mother-in-law gave my cleaning lady's services to me as a gift and still pays for her to come weekly. Best gift ever!
That's easy. Sweeping, dusting, vacuuming...oh sorry that's three...
ReplyDeleteDusting.
Hmmm. Is cleaning the house too vague? :)
ReplyDeleteHow about matching the socks (and finding the ones that go missing).
Definitely cooking, I can't stand it. Can't stand doing it, thinking about it, preparing for it, cleaning up after it...I like eating, but not nearly enough to make up for how much I hate cooking. And unfortunately, that's my biggest and most persistent chore.
ReplyDeleteI think it's lovely that you are helping this family out, Suzanne! (smiles)
ReplyDeleteI'd love it if someone would dust my house. I swear this is the dustiest house I've ever lived in. I had the vent cleaned this spring. I check the filter every 30 days and change it when it is dirty even though they are 90 day filters. I buy the most expensive filters...(not bragging, just saying I'm trying my best) I vaccum...sweep...dust and then when I turn around a new layer of dust has covered everything! It's like there is a dust fairy sprinkling dust all over my house...
Organization. Things get out of control way too quickly around here.
ReplyDeleteEvery chore imaginable - Get over here & get to work Suz!
ReplyDeleteWalking the dog in the morning. I'm always pressed for time to get out the door for work and the dog is hovering, following me around the house and putting her head between my legs silently screaming WALK ME in the innocent doggy way of hers.
ReplyDeleteCooking. Hate to do it.
ReplyDeleteYardwork. I'm weird and wouldn't want anyone snooping around my home. That just comes from being married to a cop and hearing one too many stories.
ReplyDeleteCleaning! I love things to be clean, but - between work and kids stuff and volunteering and life - it's hard to get to the nitty-gritty dusting, toilets, etc. I'd love someone to come in and take care of it each week!
