What is something about yourself that most people around you do not know?
I'm pretty much a what you see is what you get kind of girl. And most people would probably say that I'm "sunshiney." In fact, a college friend once told me that she ran into someone we went to school with and when my name came up, the girl said, "I can't stand Suzanne. She's so fake. No one is that happy all the time."
Funny reason to be disliked, huh? Anyway, I digress. Back to the point.
But if you really know me, you know that I've got a bad temper. I've been working on it for a long time. But unfortunately, it still explodes every once in a while.
Sooo...back to L.D.'s excellent question. What is something about yourself that most people around you do not know?

I used to think I would grow up to be a singer. I sang with bands all through high school and college and while I was living in Phoenix my band actually got airplay and had a song picked up by a producer. I would sing the National Anthem at Suns games, Cactus League baseball games, Roadrunner hockey games...all the sports teams called me and "paid" me with free tickets. My husband LOVED that! But since moving back to California I've sung maybe 5 times in public. So people I knew before are shocked to hear that I don't sing anymore, and people I know now are shocked by how much I used to sing!
ReplyDeleteOkay, I confess that certain movies always get me a bit...choked up. My close family knows. Two examples: RUDY and WHITE CHRISTMAS.

Most people don't know that I have a really bad temper. It takes a lot to trigger it, doesn't happen often, but it can be scary bad if I get set off.

Nobody around here knows that I used to act in LA. Nothing too crazy but I had a blast. Some plays, a couple independent films, a Dodgers commercial. Maybe when I can breathe I'll pick it up again.

Hmm, that's tough. Probably that I like peanut and tomato sandwiches. But I just put that on facebook, so everybody knows it now!
ReplyDeleteThat I have Synesthesia, a condition where my mind's eye sees letters, words, numbers, etc. in color. For example, the name "Suzanne" is red, "LD" is 2 shades of blue and "H" is tan. :)

I actually LOVE to clean... and I do windows!
ReplyDeleteI had a similar thing like you, Suzanne, when someone posted on a message board that I was fake and couldn't be as nice as I wanted people to think I was. Weird.
ReplyDeleteHmmm, I'm sitting here trying to think of something that most people don't know about me, but I'm coming up blank. I guess I've answered too many memes on things about myself lately. Either that or I'm just way too open about myself.
One thing a lot of people are surprised to hear is that I don't watch TV hardly at all anymore. I can't stand it. DVDs are okay, but the TV bugs me for some reason.
