Here in LA, we are experiencing the worst case of June Gloom that I can remember in my 15 year residency. For the past two weeks, every day has been cloudy, gray and it's looked like it would rain. It actually did rain a couple times last week, which is as rare as snow in Jersey in June.
We had one sunny day. That was last Sunday. I drove with the top down, blasted music and sang down the freeway like an American Idol before entering the dark pub and serving drinks all afternoon.
H just told me that she's been tracking the weather and it looks like we may get some sunshine next Thursday. NEXT THURSDAY???
Something has gone awry in Sunny Southern California.
I am "dying for" a sunny day. What are you "dying for"?
xoxo,
Suzanne
Same thing. I hate june gloom. I've been seriously thinking the same thing for the last week. I want summer to kick in.
ReplyDeleteFor summer vacation!!! 8 more school days to go!!
ReplyDeleteHmmmmm... I'll trade you some June Gloom for Texas Tornado weather! Crazy storm here last night but it was just a break in the 100-degree weather we're supposed to have for the next 5 days. I'm reeeeeealllly looking forward to a nice, cool vacation in northern California soon.
ReplyDeleteIce cream that makes me lose weight. That would be a really good invention.
ReplyDeleteThe June gloom to last longer. I love summer but it gets so freaking hot here in the Valley. I'm really enjoying this weather since I know it will be hotter than hell before I know it. That and no more first grade homework.
ReplyDeleteMy vacation in sunny (or gloomy...I just can't wait to be there!) SoCal!!
ReplyDeleteSummer weather! It's been a crappy and cool spring. We had a sunny day today, but still too cool for my liking. C'mon summer sun!
ReplyDeleteWish your dream come true this Sunday.
ReplyDeleteI'm 'dying' to take a cruise, somewhere, anywhere.
ReplyDeleteOdd. I'm on the opposite coast and are also having some of the wettest weather I've seen for May and June. Did I move to Seattle without realizing it?
ReplyDeleteWhat I'm dying for most is THE END. Each day I get closer to THE END - of school, activities, projects, recitals, neighborhood yard sales, my job - and I'm holding on by my fingertips until next Saturday.
I'm dying for a vacation! The school holidays begin next week. Yippee ;)!
