Question of the Day #124

If you had a worldwide stage from which to discuss any topic, what topic would you discuss?

(I, of course, would ask questions and babble about food.)

What about you?

xoxo,
Suzanne

  1. Food is always a good topic. This is a touch question. I am not sure what I would talk about. Maybe I would talk about myself and my feelings and be totally honest.

  2. Basic human decency and consideration for your fellow human beings. I'd take a moment to promote my next sessions on general awareness, basic social etiquette, and common sense.

That would be a good start I think.

  3. Ooooh good one V! I often want to shout that stuff from the rooftops!

  4. Mmm... A worldwide stage? As in everyone in the entire world?

How about why it is that we spend so much effort and so many resources on fighting each other over things we all agree on? Because if we can't quit doing that, how are we ever gonna resolve our differences?

  5. Mojo, I think I love you.

You are so right. Ultimately, we all want the same things. If we could only figure out how to work together to get them...

  6. Good question. My question: Why do people resist learning? I teach middle school and see it all the time: kids acting stupid and being disruptive just to avoid learning anything. They are not unlike adults. What's that about?

  7. Life - because it is a never-ending topic, Suzanne.

Great to know you've found literary representation. If ever I can help in any way, just holler.

  8. Food is always good. Food and rock music.

  9. I think, were anyone listening, it would be why we all see the world so differently when we all want the same things. I mean like peace and to be cared about. Then we would have a Q and A while we discuss why we don't care enough about each other.

  10. Hi Suzanne, just returning your visit quickly as have to hit the sack. Yes it was quite a leap of faith I made! I will be back when I have more time to browse, but thanks for your visit.

  11. I would implore all to keep their religious feelings & opinions at home or in the place of worship & out of the streets & main stream society. To me, its been the biggest divider of people in the history of mankind.

Don't get me wrong, there is nothing wrong with religions themselves. To me, it just seems the problem occurs the moment the preacher opens his mouth regardless of faith. Your faith is YOUR faith - Your relation to the higher being is YOUR relationship - no need to let it escape out of your mouth!

  12. Wildflowers, the need for diversity, tolerance, gardening, over population, the financial crisis, greed...oh! Was I supposed to stick to one subject? ;-)

  13. Love and peace. Caring and sharing. We don't have to be exactly the same, but why spent so much hate on our differences?

  14. I would talk about the need to honor differences in others and not sitting in judgement of others because they have different opinions, religions, skin colors, traditions, etc.

  15. what? Sex isn't on the agenda any more?...whatever happened to make love and drop bombs...or make love and not use the bombs we've already spent billions on...wait a minute I got to go check my sources

  16. There are many topics that I would like to discuss - kindness, community service, literacy - but I don't know that I could make a real difference. So I'm going to go with one issue that is easy to understand and would change the world in terms of time saved and blood pressure lowered. I don't need a worldwide audience or even a lot of time to simply tell drivers that the left lane is the passing and, yes, the faster lane.
