Question of the Day #814
Last night, I had the pleasure of attending an event at The Broad Art Foundation. My girlfriends and I got to view pieces from Eli and Edythe Broad's personal collection.
Among them was a piece by Christopher Wool, much like the one above, except the word was "pessimist."
"That is a bad word." I pointed at it from across the room.
"It is a bad word," C confirmed.
"Like 'hate'," H said. "'Hate' is a bad word."
What ordinary word hits you as a bad word?
xoxo,
Suzanne

Prejudice.

ReplyDeleteStupid. I've realized how horrible it sounds when it comes out of little kids' mouths, so we've banned it in the house. Now, my kids refer to it as the 's' word (they came up with that), so we often have to clarify when they say, "so and so said the s-word!" :-)
ReplyDeletePass.
ReplyDeleteFunny - I was going to say "stupid" as well. It's such a crummy word. :-(
ReplyDeleteShould.
