Question # 772

Yesterday, Colleen F responded to the question about what musical instrument you would have liked to have learned to play by writing that as a kid, she wanted to play saxophone but her dad wouldn't let her.

That made me wonder, is there anything your parents said you shouldn't do that they were wrong about?

  2. Hmmmm... Read so much? They kept pushing me to "go outside and play," but reading was the foundation for my future writing endeavors. I realize now, as an adult, that they just wanted me to go away so they could talk about grown-up stuff.

  7. My parents told me I couldn't play an instrument because I was involved in too many other things. I wish they told me to ditch cheerleading practice and got me a drum kit. ; )
