B was saying that he likes concerts and wants to take me to some. That made me realize that I haven't been to a concert in hundred years. Since I've been pretty broke, concert tickets are up there with a trip to Vegas - not happening. In fact, the last time I made it to a show was only because my Jersey Boys kidnapped me and took me to Bon Jovi. And that was two years ago.
When was the last concert you went to? And who played?

Okay, don't laugh (too loud) but I think it was The Beach Boys in the 1970s. Or do school band concerts count???

ReplyDeleteGavin Rossdale of Bush in early November! You know I love my concerts! I try to go to 6-10 a year! (But this year I only went to cheap concerts...money is tighter than usual!)

My husband took me out to see "Monsters of Folk" at the Greek Theatre a month or so ago... and before that was "Handsome Furs" at the Echoplex this summer. We try to see as much live music as we can... and both of these recent shows were CRAZY GOOD!!
ReplyDeleteStevie Nicks at Harbor Lights/Boston about a 1-1/2 years ago. She's spinning a little slower these days but still oh so good! Funny you should mention Bon Jovi. I have a friend who is OBSESSED with JBJ. (Yes, it's slightly unnerving.) Anyway, we are closer than close to getting our hands on SNL tickets for 12/12 when the musical guest will be none other than...Bon Jovi. Fingers are crossed!

ReplyDeleteI love live music and, although I can't go to as many concerts as I used to, I try to get to a few each year. Last month I went to see Third Day (great show - I'd see themm again) and this past summer I saw the Keith Urban/Taylor Swift show. They both put on a great show - lots of energy!
I hadn't been to a concert in years, but this fall I've seen 3!

Not a huge fan of concerts but was kidnapped to Bruce Springsteen in October. Other than that I just see Bon Jovi every year. Wow that sounded really Jersey didn't it???
ReplyDeleteOh gosh, it's been awhile for me too, maybe 4-5 years. I think the last few concerts I went to were Deep Purple and Blue Oyster Cult. I did see The Jersey Boys in Vegas, which is more of a show, but has a concerty-feel to it at times.
ReplyDeleteThe last concert I went to was Bruce Hornsby in October. By amazing timing of calling and someone who must have released held seats, we got second row seats. It was amazing.
