Question of the Day #265

Have you ever sky dived or bungee jumped or leapt off a cliff or done any kind of crazy thrill seeker activity? If so, what did you do? f not, would you like to?

Suzanne

  1. I've gone on some pretty big zip lines, both night and day, but that's about it. I'm too much of a chicken to ever skydive!

  2. So funny because my BFF just went sky diving this past weekend and I just looked at her photos seriously 30 seconds ago!!!

I've done zip lines, bridge jumping, and bungee jumping, but not skydiving just yet.

I just like traveling - that's my thrill seeking.

  3. Maybe I'm a dork, but what's a zip line?

  4. Sky dived, jumped off some pretty big cliffs, but no bungee jumping for this kid...saw a video once of it snapping & some gal breaking her leg & it turned me off.

  5. Yep ... I've sky-dived! Loved it ... but now am trying to convince my kids to not do it when they grow up! hee, hee! :-) Have done zip-lining too ... in Kauai - BEAUTIFUL, very fun, and very secure!

  6. Suzie - Wikipedia "zip-line." Basically you hang off a trapeeze looking thing which is attached to a cable or zip-line and glide thru the trees or over water usually...

  7. I bungee jumped about fifteen years ago (when it was new and hip and cool) and I loved the thrill of it. And a few years ago, I took flying trapeze classes in Hollywood... which, turns out, I was REALLY good at. I was |this| close to joining the circus. :)

I want to skydive with Mike, but there is absolutely no way on this green Earth I will ever get him to join me.

  8. I've been skydiving and I loved it. I'd go again in a second.
I'd love to take a flying trapeze class! How cool is that?!

  9. I haven't the heart to do bungee diving . My heart will drop to my toes and that's it!!

  10. Nope, none of the above. I'm a pretty low risk person - tree top walks, hill/mountain hiking, and white water rafting are about as extreme as I get.

I have a paralyzing fear of heights that I refuse to accept, so I'd love to try bungee jumping just to see if that settles things once and for all.

  11. Once when I was up in Wisconsin, some friends and I went to a place where people were cliff diving into a river. I was much younger then. I ram my mouth and a friend of mine dared me to dive off. Most of the people were jumping and not diving. There were several young girls there who were also daring me to do it. So like a fool I did. When I hit the water it was like hitting a brick wall. My forehead stung and my arms felt like they were almost ripped from my body. I survived though but would never do anything that stupid again.

  12. Well, I did take a wilderness rescue course in which you had to speed rappel off a cliff to save a mock patient. And then I fell off, which meant that the other students got to practice on a REAL patient.

I'm fine. Just dorked up my knee. And still get smack talk from the other students.
