Question of the Day #1,189

I smell fire. The smell of fire in LA sends alarm up my spine.

What smell, sound or sensation reeks of danger where you live?

Suzanne

  1. Smoke. Growing up in SoCA with all the brushfires was bad, but then moving to the mountains of MT is even worse. They just let them burn up here because they don't have the resources like CA has. It's crazy. And of course, my house is right in the middle of a forest. Go figure.

  2. High winds! The trees surrounding my house scare me. Amazing how many trees fall around the area.

  7. Fire. We get out of control brush fires in Florida during the dry season. Yesterday 10 people died on one section of road from zero visibility caused by smoke.

  8. Sirens ... police, fire, ambulance, etc. Very scary!

  9. Where I live now the most dangerous things are the ones that don't make any sounds, like spiders and snakes.
But this is also major bushfire territory, so smoke is a sign of danger. Fortunately for an urban dweller like myself, I'm just keeping an eye out for spiders...
