Even though I have skyped for quite a while, my sister just had a baby, and suddenly my WHOLE family (including my 71-year-old stepfather) is SKYPING. Yay for new babies bringing us together :-)
I Skype with my sister and parents on occasion. I live in Toronto, my parents live 2-3 hours away, and my sister lives in Michigan (for university). It is fun to Skype with them. I should ask them for a Skype date soon! Hah.
As someone with family on two continents half a world away, you learn to utilize things like Skype and Facetime to stay in touch. The world is way smaller than it appeared when I was a kid! = )
I don't Skype nearly enough. I occasionally do with my family in Montana. It's wonderful to see them, but I find we have better conversations over the phone. But seeing my nephews is priceless.

ReplyDeleteI've used it a few times, but my son skypes with his friend in China all the time. I think it's great!
