Depending on the subject matter. I think we all have personal gurus for each type of question and we should tap them, but I did follow my gut most of the time. Some decisions I regretted (some big time) but I learned and that is life!
I rarely ask for advice, at least not for important life decisions. Sometimes I'll ask a mentor I have at work for opinions about work, or talk things through with my husband, but that's about it. The worst is when people offer advice when it's not asked for.
I don't often seek advice from people I know. I try to find things out myself. If I had to pick someone though, it would be my husband. Even then, I'd probably just listen and then do my own thing anyway.
I never seek advice. It's not that I'm a know-it-all, but I have trust issues. In *my* circle of people I've found myself in, everyone has an agenda.
ReplyDeleteIt depends on the advice...I have a network of friends who play various roles in my life and are better equipped for individual situations...

I go to my sister or my husband. They know me, I trust them.

ReplyDelete4 people. Strangely they all start with the letter S. Huh...
ReplyDeleteD, my husband.
ReplyDeleteI tend to go to "I." She has a great perspective and way of communicating that resonates. Family is always good for a loving and encouraging ear, too.
