Question of the Day #907

There's a lot of hoopla out there about the Royal Wedding taking place on April 29, 2011. Speculation about what Kate will wear. Articles about the castle the royal couple will live in once they're married. The Queen's consent. The commemorative Royal Wedding stamps being created. And it goes on.

The other night, I was watching a Piers Morgan interview with Sharon and Kelly Osbourne. He brought up the royal wedding and after a minute or so of surface talk, Kelly asked, "Why are we talking about this?"

He mumbled something about being three Brits so he thought it might be an interesting topic. Then the subject was promptly dropped.

So, I'm wondering, how do you feel about the royal wedding? To care or not to care?

xoxo,
Suzanne

  1. She's wicked HOT - other than that, the elite british can stick it! Sex Pistols put is best..."God save the queen...the fascist regime"

  2. As a Canadian, the royal family is part of our heritage, and I do care. I mean, I haven't been following it in the news, but I will probably watch some of the wedding. I see it as a symbol of the continuation of a collective heritage that shouldn't be forgotten.

  3. No interest here mostly because I just not into celebrity and glitterati. What do their lives have to do with mine?

  4. I'm always interested in social history, watching what turns on the world and why. I don't have any deep need to follow this, just curiosity, so I occasionally click on a link to see what the fuss is about. They seem like decent people, even if they live in a different realm than I.

  6. To care or not to care . . . barely.

  7. Barely care. I'll catch the E! wrap up. I work at a police department and it was hilarious how many more men knew the details of the upcoming nuptials compared to the women in our office.

  8. Care enough to want to see the dress, not enough to get up at 6:00 a.m. to watch the wedding.

  9. I don't care. I enjoyed watching Diana because I felt there was something special about her. But then I saw how she was treated and it really left a bitter taste. This one I have very little interest, except for the occasional laugh of a headline or stupid piece of merchandise.
