Generally, insects don't freak me out. But I just killed the hairiest, spiniest, multi-legged, spotted creature on the planet. It sent shivers up my spine.
I was reading in bed the other night and a giant roach flew out of the A/C vent and landed on the bed. I knocked it off and then my husband and I chased it around the bedroom for 15 min until I got it with a shoe.
Then I shuddered for 3 hours thinking it could have happened while we were sleeping.
Except for roaches and termites (and a black widow) I catch most creatures and take them out to my garden. Was that hairy, spiney creature long like a caterpillar? All curled up in a ball? If so, it was probably a moth or butterfly in the making. If not . . .
The insects that bug me out are insects.
ReplyDeleteBlack widow spiders give me chills.
ReplyDeleteAnything that moves fast - roaches and centipedes top among them. Oh, and crickets because they move fast by friggin' jumping!
ReplyDeleteAll of them.

In Arkansas driving cross country on route 40, there were so many crickets at this outside gas station that the clerk just shut it down....
ReplyDeleteCentipedes. Because they're fast and they're ugly and they FREAK ME OUT!!!!
