Question of the Day #894

While on the freeway this morning, I passed a "STUDENT DRIVER" car in which the driver was talking on a hand-held cell phone.

What examples of setting a bad example have you come across lately?

  1. If that was the "teacher" he/she ought to have his/her ear cut off!

One thing I see a lot is parents handling stuff in stores and then swatting or yelling at their kids for doing the same thing.

  2. A lot of screaming by parents at their children. Especially at sporting events.

  3. Eating habits are the worst. The child doesn't have a chance. Will be fighting weight all their lives.

  4. Reminds me of the day me and two other driver-ed students passed our driving tests, and our instructor drove us all back to our schools. He made a rolling stop at the first 4-way stop we encountered. We totally called him on it though.

I recently experienced an executive dressing down a fellow colleague during a company meeting; it was totally rude and unprofessional. Definitely not an example of how to treat the people with which you work.

  5. Seriously??!!

Examples of setting bad example....where to begin? How about eating dinner with your children in front of the television? Or letting your kids turn on the television in somebody else's home? That's a big no no in my book.

  6. Unfortunately, I've seen way too many to list here. Where have all the manners gone?

  7. That's terrible!
Hmmmm, I'm sure there are many that I've seen (and gulp) may do! Like yelling at my kids to "Be Quiet!" :) I should try whispering next time.

  8. That is terrible! Rick's driving instructor used to fall asleep in their car. One day they went on a joy ride about an hour away from where they were supposed to go. Dorks.

I see so many bad examples that I don't even know where to begin. Parents beratting their kids really bothers me.
