Once, when I dropped my mom at the airport to head home from an LA visit, we discovered we'd forgotten about springing ahead when she missed her flight.
I forgot about setting the clock this morning and by the time I remembered, I only had 20 minutes to get the kids ready and out the door for a planned activity.
I'm REALLY happy to spring forward and normally I'm asleep through that lost hour, but I was up unusually late last night and remembered the time change at 1:56 a.m.. I actually saw the clock go from 1:59 to 3:00... it was strange and a bit unsettling. BUT, I'm really looking forward to being able to play outside with my daughter after work for the next few months!
I hate this time change at first. By summer though, I love it because we can stay out so much later. It's so weird here in July because it stays light until well after 10pm. I don't think I'll ever get used to that.

I do a little happpy dance! :)
ReplyDeleteLiving in a northern climate, I love gaining that extra bit of light at the end of the day.
I close all of my blinds at 6pm to try and trick my kids into thinking it's dark.
