Question of the Day #659

Rena, children's book author and blogging buddy, asks "Was there ever a movie you bought on DVD, but hated it so much that you gave it away?"

I'm not a big DVD purchaser or movie watcher for that matter. (Weird for a storyteller - I know.) So this has never happened to me.

What about you?

xoxo,
Suzanne

  1. I don't tend to purchase a lot of DVDs, however I'm sort of a 'giver awayer' of everything (movies, books, clothes, etc.). I hang on to DVDs that I know I will watch again, and again (To Kill a Mockingbird, Amelie, Star Wars) but everything else goes to charity.

  2. MANY movies I bought and hated - but few I have given away. My husband tends to horde things, even bad movies on DVD. I also have a nice collection of movies I watch once a year if not more.

  3. No, but I've definitely been the recipient of those movies! Reign of Fire was the best/worst of these. So entertainingly bad that we've watched it several times. It doesn't hurt that there are a few handsome faces in there:)

  4. My husband used to work at various studios so we've received many DVDs. There are oh so many that have been absolute bombs. Geesh, I wish I could return them.

  5. I'm not into buying. So I haven't given any away. But I do do Netflix. There have been some we've rented that we sent right back they were so bad. I can't even remember names.

  6. No. I don't like movies and rarely ever make a point to watch them so I have never in my life bought a DVD. And everything is On Demand now so I'd never buy a DVD.

  7. Mine was The Muppets Wizard of Oz. I LOVE The Muppets, but hated that movie. I mean, seriously, what's up with Gonzo saying, "Muppets Gone Wild?" and crap like that? I love all the others though, so I don't know what happened.
