Question of the Day #648

This Saturday, my friend Bernie, an amazing showman and acoustic guitarist and singer has a gig. When he plays, he calls the gigs "Bernith Fair." That name should explain a lot about Bernie.

He asked me to sing with him. Of course I'd love to. I usually belt out "Come to My Window" at a Bernith Fair, which will be fun. But we need another song.

Any ideas about great songs we perform acoustically?

xoxo,
Suzanne

  1. Don't Stop Believing by Journey
I Got Friends in Low Places
    Southern Cross by CSNY
Paparazzi (Greyson Chance's version of Gaga's song)

I'll think of more when I drive/sing home from work tonight. :-)

  3. What about that song California by Phantom Planet (the theme song for The O.C.). I love singing that on my way home from work.

Or Collide by Howie Day (my wedding song). :-)

  4. Okay, here I go:

Give Me One Reason - Tracy Chapman
Romeo and Juliet - Dire Straits/Indigo Girls have a version too
    Born To Run - Springsteen
Midnight Train to Georgia - good ol' Gladys Knight
    Rihanna - Fleetwood Mac

  5. I like Lisa D's suggestion of Give Me One Reason.

I'd think Metric's Give Me Sympathy would be fun.
Ever since hearing it, I've been in love with the acoustic version of Lazy Eye by Silversun Pickups.

Regardless, you both have really nice voices -- no matter what you choose, I'm sure it will be great!
