Question of the Day #472

Imagine this:

You are in a beautiful spot. If you're an ocean person, you're by the ocean. If you're into the mountains, you're in a lovely mountain cabin. You are in a natural setting of your choice. You have comfortable shelter, food -- everything you need to live well. But you don't have a cell phone, Internet or television.

You are to stay there for one month. By yourself.

Love it or hate it?

xoxo,
Suzanne
PS - You don't have to worry about making money or the consequences of your time away from real life.

  1. I'd be all over it. I could probably finish an entire draft of my WIP if I was in a distractionless place like that. Send me.

  2. Send me to SLO right now!!! I could take hikes, relax, finish my school work, forget about the daily grind. I would miss my wife and kids, but a month would go fast.

  3. The internet part freaks me due to not having research capability, but I already live without TV and don't chat that much. I spent one week alone in a beach resort w/o internet and got a lot done on revising a wip. I would love that kind of getaway, for sure.

  5. As long as I have my computer and my Kindle, I'm there.

  6. I've done it before for 3 weeks, and think I could handle it for a full month. It's liberating.

  7. As much as I want to be able to say that I'd love it, I'd go insane. I could not be away from my kids and husband for that long. But if the four of us could go there with no other connection to the outside world, (I'm thinking a beachside cottage) it would be heaven.

  10. Absolutely - LOVE it.

How about one month every year? That sounds heavenly.
