I grew up on elton john. listening to vinyl on my little turntable. I think billy joel is great, but it just wasnt a part of my upbringing.

ReplyDeleteThat's a toss up. I love Elton John (his older stuff) but seeing Billy Joel perform live is awesome. It's definitely in my top 5 shows of all time (and I've seen alot of concerts.

ReplyDeleteI used to think hands down Elton John until I saw them perform together. Billy Joel completely upstaged Elton! I was shocked!

No question for me. Billy Joel. I also saw them perform together, but it was a long time ago so I don't remember who rocked who.

ReplyDeleteBilly Joel. He is just brilliant. And I like that gravelly tone better than Elton John's tenor (although I do love Elton too).

ReplyDeleteI like them both. I think I would have to go with Elton if I had to chose. But then it is hard to beat some of Billy's songs. It is a toss up.
