Question of the Day #1,033

Hurricane Irene.

I don't like the looks of her.

While I watch from the safety of the west coast, I'm a little nervous for my east coast friends and family. (Not to mention the economic impact a storm like this will have on the country when we really can't afford it.)

What does Irene have you thinking about?

xoxo,
Suzanne

  1. She has me thinking of friends and family, hoping everyone stays safe!

I'm also scheduled to fly to Atlantic Canada on Monday, so Irene's also got me thinking of the potential airport chaos as her remnants hit Canada.

  2. Where on Earth we will relocate if they evacuate us! Everyone we know on the east coast is in Irene's path. We're in a low lying coastal area so um, well, ut-oh.

Hold onto your hats! Stay safe east coasters!

  3. My friends in the east and the disaster for the economy. And I heard on KCRW that the airlines are being less than candid about flight info. Expect travel chaos.

  4. Irene makes me nervous for my friends and family in NJ, NY, and VA on many levels. As I scramble to get my own kids ready for starting school next week, I think, Yikes! Imagine doing hurricane prep at the same time!!! I'll be praying for them.

  5. My MA family along the coast may be in the path. I lived there during Hurricane Bob in 1991. We lost the shutters and the fence on the south side of the house, about a dozen trees in the back yard and the power was out for 10 days. I had a 3 yr old and a 6 yr old and had to take them to live at my Mom's for over a week. And that was just a Category 2.
