Question of the Day #588

The first time I saw Fatal Attraction, I was in high school, in my parents' basement with a friend of mine. Every creepy scene inched us closer and closer on the couch. I screamed at the rabbit in the pot. We jumped when Alex jumped back to life in the bathtub.

The other night, I got sucked into Fatal Attraction again. Twenty years later, the tension was just as strong and the craziness was totally authentic. And just like I did at 16, I jumped when Alex jumped back to life in the bathtub.

What movie was done so well that it still freaks you out?

xoxo,
Suzanne

  1. Open Water creeped me out big time makes me think when I'm in the ocean...it was super realistic

  2. In spite of all the horror movies I've gobbled up in my lifetime, nothing ever terrified me as much as when I was a kid and the bad guy's faces melted at the end of Raiders of the Lost Ark - especially when the "cough cough" guy's flesh peels back.

  3. I generally can't watch scary movies because I hate how they make me feel.

I saw Jaws when I was 8 or 9, and boy did that one do a number on me. Who didn't think twice about swimming in open water after that one?

  4. I don't get scared easily and in fact my movie genre of choice is thriller or horror, but I still can't even think about the original Exorcist without getting goosebumps. Such a great movie. I agree with Simply V, though, Jaws ruined me for all ocean swimming!

  5. LOL. You're the same age as me. ;)

Fatal Attraction, Jaws, too many to name. I'm a whimp when it comes to anything scary. I have to look away when the scary part comes. I've never actually watch the rabbit in the pot scene. But boy, is the lint on my top fascinating. :)

  6. Nightmare on Elm Street - the original. That used to freak me out and my brother would hold my eyeballs open and force me to watch it, every single day. Ick.

  7. That is one awesome movie! I remember seeing it in hs with my boyfriend. And of course I said, "See what happens when men cheat?" ;)
I'm a chicken so lots of movies freak me out! Though movies that seem realistic freak me out more than monster movies.

  8. The Omen, Rosemary's baby, The Exhorcist, Seventh Sign... anything to do with the devil freaks me out.

  9. I watched the Exorcist for the 1st time while babysitting. I wouldn't recommend it. I still have flashbacks.

  10. I can't watch scary movies anymore. I saw The Exorcist when it came out and I was way too young. Just hearing "Tubular Bells" sends me shivering. Horrible, horrible movie.
