During a recent Oprahsode, Tina Fey asked Oprah, "If you could have dinner with any one person, dead or alive, what would you order?"
Oprah laughed and even though she wasn't asked who she'd eat with, she responded, "I guess I'd invite Jesus over for some fried chicken."
I'd take Granny out for a cheeseburger.

I'd take Neil Gaiman out for phoenix (and extra points to anyone who knows what I'm talking about, although my sensibilities would turn it into faux phoenix) :D

I'd take my mother's mother out (I never met her, she passed away when my mom was 20) and we would eat gobs of German food because that is our heritage and I understand she was an excellent German cook. I've had to learn myself instead of from handed-down family recipes.
ReplyDeleteI'd take Nana out for prime rib at Lawry's--but thanks for the reminder about taking Grandma out for Chinese food. Mine's still around (and in town), so I should do that!
