Question of the Day #1,158

"Who has a question?" I asked in the kitchen full of family.

"I got one!" my brother said.

"What?" I looked up at him doubtfully.

"What's the best age?" he asked.

"Hm," I said.

"That's not bad," said V.

"It's good. Listen, is it the two year old whose biggest concern is having an awesome time in the snow?" He pointed out the window where the little ones rolled around outside. "Or is it the 40 year old who has a job to keep, mouths to feed and a mortgage to pay but can at least make all their own decisions?"

"I can work with that," I replied.

"See, that wasn't hard. You need questions? You can call me everyday," he said.

I rolled my eyes and began typing.

So, what's the best age?

xoxo,
Suzanne

  1. I think the one I'm at. Childhood wasn't fun. Independence is great.

  2. Hmmmm, perhaps 30--independent with some life experience and still young enough to do anything you desire. Yeah, I'm going with 30.

  3. I like Tricia's answer, 30ish. However, I was an idiot at that age. If I had my experience at that age - awesome. Perhaps I'll never be wise. For the record, I'll say... 50. (Next year)

  4. Excellent question, but not sure how to answer it. I had a fabulous childhood (thanks, mom and dad), my teen years were pretty drama free and good, and I love being a mom and at the age I'm at. (Okay, not loving that I just turned 40, so the actual number is not fun, but the life is!)

  5. I thought 25 was pretty cool. Already married to my sweetie, no kids, lots of fun.

  6. College, 18 to 25. Not a lot of responsibilities, wild times.

  7. Trying not to sound like a pollyanna, I have loved most of my life and the times I didn't got me to here!
I love the sixties except for body betrayal.
