"I'm ready to kick 2011 out the door," said P.
"Really? Was it bad for you?" I asked.
"It was weird. Not so bad for me personally, but a lot of bad things happened to the people around me. Lots of deaths," he said.
"Wow. That's not good."
I turned to M, on my other side.
"How was 2011 for you?"
"Up and down. I'm ready to see it go too," she replied. "I'm ready for change. Ready to let the good stuff in."
"What about you?" she asked.
"2011 was my best year since I was in my 20's," I said.
"Really?"
"Really. And I'm ready for more good," I said.
How has 2011 been for you?
xoxo,
Suzanne
I'm happy for everyone who enjoyed 2011.
ReplyDelete2011 not so good for me. I'm quite glad to hear it was great for you. I'm ready to take a broom and sweep it out the door and welcome 2012 (that is if it refuses to take part in the Mayan end-of-world)
ReplyDeletePretty good because I didn't work. Pretty bad because the non-working was for medical reasons.
ReplyDeleteThis year's been a wild ride with lots of ups and downs. Overall, though, I'm going to remember the awesome things that happened this year. Definitely a couple of huge milestones!
ReplyDeleteGlad it was good for you. We'll be celebrating New Year's at a house party, something we haven't done in a while and hopefully it ushers in a good 2012.
ReplyDeleteWe had a rough start. Lost a good friend the first month of 2011, but it hasn't been too awful since then. I'm blessed with what I do have, so I feel stupid if I complain about too much these days.
ReplyDeleteVery good year, with top notes of floral bouquets and a fruity aftertaste;)
ReplyDeleteBig transition year - lots of adjustments and changes. Still adjusting. But as Laura Linney said "Every year's a privelege".
ReplyDelete2011 was the most amazing year so far for me!
ReplyDelete1. Graduated college.
2. Got a pretty decent job (although only part time) that I absolutely love.
3. Got my own basement bachelor apartment.
4. Relationship with my boyfriend has continued to improve and grow.
5. Met some of my best friends on Jan 1 (New Years Eve party)
6. Moved to a bigger (and better) city which I love and just feel so "at home" in.
So many other great things have happened, I don't know if I can list them all! lol
Generally not great, but not as bad as 2010. And certainly had some very nice parts. I'm doubling down for 2012!
