Question of the Day #1,144

I'm cleaning out my closet. I pulled out a pair of platform strappy sandals that I wore once. In the store, where they were half off, I thought they cute and that I could handle the height. And I was sure I would never find other shoes at such a good price.

But when I wore them out, I found myself teetering.

And now they're in the donation pile.

What dumb purchases have you made?

xoxo,
Suzanne

  1. I purged a lot last fall when we put our house for sale. Not sure what was the dumbest, but lots of unneeded crap!

  2. LOL, Just what I did today!~. About 8 years ago I bought what I thought was the coolest vest, grey and ivory, knitted, with fur trim, ADORABLE on the hanger, not on me. Made for, I don't know who but not for me. I couldn't part with it. It looked so cute ON THE HANGER. It is going to the church thrift shop. It was not inexpensive. I hope someone wears it and feels great in it.

  4. I just bought solar flood lights. Bad decision. I'll be returning them to the store.

  5. Same as you: cute, strappy sandals with a high, wedge cork heel. I'm not sure anymore if I ever wore them, but they ended up after several years as a thrift store donation.

  6. So many, I can't even count them all! What really kills me, though, is the jackets that don't quite fit right and then go out of style.

  8. A pair of jeans--last week--I KNEW they'd get too baggy (damn spandex added to everything these days) but I opted for the larger size and NOW? I HATE THEM.
