Question of the Day #1,135

Saturday night, I met a girl who just moved to LA two weeks ago from Idaho. She oozed excitement about LA, the weather, new opportunities and new friends. Who was the last truly joyful person you encountered? xoxo, Suzanne

  1. You made me think and I came up dry. Even the little kids in my life have been grumpy lately. Sad.

  2. My kindergarteners. They get SO excited about the littlest things. And make me smile all morning long.

  3. I haven't met this person, but she is a little girl in the kindergarten class where my daughter is a student teacher. She is the one that tells other kids that their drawings are "real art" and tells other little girls "you look FABULOUS today!" When it is time to go home, she takes a special needs student by the hand and walks him to his Mom's car.

  4. There's this guy who comes to my water aerobics class and he is the most up-beat, smilingest person I've met in a loooooong time. His wife says he wakes up so perky in the morning that she stays in bed until he's gone to work before she gets up! :D He seems to be one of people who is genuinely happy all the time. We need more like him.

  5. Actually, it was just at the grocery store today. The woman in front of me got a call from someone and she started jumping up and down. Not sure what she was so joyous about, but she was certainly happy and not afraid to show it. It made me smile.

  6. That's the person that I try to be. People tell me I get too excited about things, but I think it is better than not being happy at all!

  8. My new friend, Jade, is a riot. She's always bursting out with some random comment or expression of excitement. She's really enthusiastic and joyful. I'm so lucky to have befriended such a bundle of genuine goodness. She's hilarious.
