Big city. Big Lights. New York, after all these years still stuns me. The subway/pretzel/hot dog smell. Honking horns. Bustling crowds and dazzling lights.
My 2nd favorite city is San Francisco! Great food, nice people, diversity, and lots of surrounding areas that are awesome (e.g., Sausalito, Napa, etc).
NY is at the top of my list (I'm wearing my 'City That Never Sleeps' t-shirt as I type). I'll never forget my first trip there...seeing the city line -- I was awestruck.
London has also completely dazzled me in a different way.
My home city of Ottawa, although significantly smaller than the other two, still gives me a buzz, especially approaching from the river parkway...and seeing the parliament buildings and the cityscape.
Boston! Oh how I love it...the history, the architecture, the arts & the feeling of home. I also love NYC for the same reasons (except it's never felt like home). And, after years of living there, it took one week of jury duty downtown to help me see the beauty of Los Angeles.
I've been visiting NYC more lately for blog business - such as it were - and pleasure, and I've really enjoyed it. I'm always looking forward to my next trip.
New York. Even though I grew up here, it still hasn't become trite... love this place.
ReplyDeleteI still get that jittery, excited feeling walking around Boston. After all, Boston you're my home...doo doo do do-dooo!
ReplyDeleteMy new city, NYC, completely dazzles me too!
What out for the summer city stink! ; )
I'm on the New York bandwagon. I haven't spent NEARLY enough time there.

ReplyDeleteNone. I am so not a city person. If I had to pick one, it would be London.
ReplyDeleteNo city dazzles like New York, but New Orleans steals my heart.
ReplyDeleteDefinitely New York. I've only been there twice, so I'm still in love. If I didn't have kids in grade school, I'd want to move there.
ReplyDeleteI love exploring cities!!

This is so shallow, but Las Vegas. I absolutely adore it.

ReplyDeleteParis would be my first pick, buy I really want to visit New York again too.
