Question of the Day #362

It happens twice a year, so why can't I get a hang of Daylight Savings? Cell phones and computers automatically adjust, so that should make it easier, right?

Except that I forgot to set my alarm clock and woke up an hour earlier than I had to. And it's not just this time. One year, after a great visit with my mom, I dropped her off the airport, where she found that Daylight Savings had come and gone without us even noticting. And she missed her flight. Oops.

What do you think about Daylight Savings? (I think I'm getting back in bed now.)

xoxo,
Suzanne

  1. It takes about a week to get used to. My dogs didn't know about the time change, so I got up at the same time as usual (well, except the clock said an hour earlier!).

  2. I don't like it. It bums me out when the sun sets before 5p.

  3. I also don't like when it starts getting dark around 4:30. But at least it was easy to get up early today. :)

  4. For some reason the early dark gives me a little pit in my stomach.

  5. Ugh! I really, really dislike DST. The sun is now setting right at my drive time to go pick up K at the daycare. Since I drive in a west direction for a while, it's killer trying to see. It's also now the time of day and year that deer like to dart across the roads (always fun when blinded by the setting sun). Then by December, I'm driving in the snowy dark. Yuck!

  6. I despise DST, always have, probably always will. It's just not natural.

  7. I say we just shorten the work day by two hours and leave the darn time alone. We will start work an hour later and quit an hour earlier and everyone will be happy. Who's with me?

  9. I love falling back, but springing ahead always messes me up.
