Question of the Day #322

Yesterday's question covered where we want to end up, so it's only natural that I ask where you started. I was born in New Jersey, moved to Boston then flew to LA on a whim and never left.

Where were you born? Do you live close to your hometown now?

xoxo,
Suzanne

  1. I was born in Queens, NY. Then moved to Basking Ridge, NJ (can you say 'culture shock'?!?!) then moved to South Orange, NJ for college. After that I moved to Morris Plains, NJ and now live in New Providence, NJ. As hard as I try to move away and as much as I can't wait to move to like Aruba or San Diego or Singapore... for some reason NJ has a strong hold on me!

  2. Hmmm! Going back into ancient history now. Born in NYC. Moved 10 times, all within a 40 minute distance to my birthplace. Until we retired. Vt is the best place for us:)
Never know where your path will go.

  3. I was born in Chicago. Moved to Ohio when I was really young, and now I'm in Michigan. If only the Midwest had ocean coastline, I'd be really happy about this.

  4. Born & raised in RI...moved to NH...moved to Los Angeles...moved to GA...moved back to Los Angeles...now I live in GA. In my heart, California is my home but GA is the best place to raise my baby girl - close to family, great schools and she can go to UGA on the Hope Scholarship if she wants to.

  6. Born and lived in northern Illinois all my life! My kids were even born in the same town as I was. I really am a homebody!

  7. I'm the third generation in my family to be born in Southern California. I was born the farthest out of the city in Ventura County. My mom was born in Inglewood and her mom was born in or near south Central Los Angeles. Carrying on the tradition, both of my children were born in Los Angeles with the youngest being born at Cedar's. It doesn't get much more L.A. than that. And they say no one is really from Los Angeles.

  8. Born in Brockton, MA (City of Champions), then to Boston for college, then LA, and now Newport, RI. I could never live in the middle of our beautiful country, I need to be near the ocean.

  9. Born and mostly raised in San Diego (although different parts: El Cajon, Tierrasanta, Encinitas, and Escondido). Lived in Orange County for two years (Mission Viejo), and also in L.A. for five years. Now I'm back in San Diego's north county, which I love and feels like home, even though my parents moved away a long time ago.

  11. I was born in Florida just north of Daytona Beach. I moved to just north of Chicago, then California, then Idaho, then Connecticut, then Charleston SC, then Georgia and finally back to Charleston. Whew, no wonder I am tired.

    College in Boston
    Los Angeles for 10 years
Now living in CT. I absolutely love it here. Perfect for raising a family.
I do miss CA every once in a while. Can't see myself raising a family in LA though but San Diego? Now we're talking.
