Question of the Day #317

My superagent, Daphne Unfeasible, has made like five sales in the last few weeks. And one deal was this crazy multi-book series sold at auction. Every time I log on the kt literary website, there's more great news! kt literary is seriously on fire.

One of those authors, the incredibly funny and oh so willing to give me advice when we've never actually met face to face, Carrie Harris, is one of the happy authors! Her novel, NO PAIN, No BRAIN was just sold to Wendy Loggia at Delacorte. Woohoo for zombies!!!

And my brother, a football coach in NJ, just opened his season with not one, but TWO big wins!

Am I crazy or are things looking up? Is there a spark in the air? A little upswing, if you will?

Let's share some good news. Who do you know who's on a positive roll?

xoxo,
Suzanne

  1. Awww, thanks! And frankly, I'm just flattered that someone thinks I know what I'm talking about. I don't, really. Whenever I need to make a major decision, I consult my magic 8 ball.

I think my answer to this question is obvious. :)

  2. We just found a 100 dollar mistake in our check book. In our favor. Whooo Hoooo party time.

Did you see the footage of the little girl at the baseball game that threw the ball back after her father caught it? The team gave her a team jersey. It was awesome.

  3. Yay, Carrie! I hope that means positive news in general for the writing market!
I made a poem sale to Ladybug a few weeks ago. But a book sale, WOW!

  5. I almost bought a Magic 8 Ball today! It was cute and pink and I wanted it. That makes me giggle for some reason.

    Yay! Congrats all around!

I'm just feeling all sort of good. My oldest little one adjusted incredibly well into kindergarten. The humidity has been overcome by crisp fall air. And I've been paying more attention to myself as of late. A slow but positive roll!

  6. Congrats! That's so wonderful.

A blogging friend, Kiersten White, scored a three book deal with Harper Teen (in an auction pre-empt). She's a debut author, so we know it's happening still.
