I'm hungry. I'm about to blend an organic blueberry/strawberry smoothie, complete with raw wheat germ and ground flax meal.
What I really want are two eggs over medium, crisp bacon, shredded hashbrowns and free flowing fountain Diet Cokes.
If you could have ANYTHING to eat right now, what would it be?

ReplyDeleteReal, honest to God New York style pizza. I don't know what happened to the Italians between Jersey and Washington DC but they seem to have lost the pizza making genes here. Almost time for a road trip.... LOL

ReplyDeleteCarol, we Angelinos feel your pain. Pizza making here is all wrong too. Although, strangely enough, one of our friends owns a Boston bar and they recently started making slammin' pizza. It's almost Jersey good! ; )
I made caramel popcorn from scratch yesterday and the four of us gobbled it up in less than an hour. It was so good--hot, crisp, sweet, salty. I'm going to have to go home and make more!
ReplyDeleteI'll start with your smoothie, then move on to the vegan Mac and Cheese from Madeleines, followed by the veggie steak and asparagus from Vegetable Delight. And ending with a tub of dark chocolate, of course.

I would love to dig up some littlenecks from the ocean, put them on a hot grill until they open up just enough to keep the juice inside and top it off with some hot sauce...followed by a sip of ice cold beer and a big plate of lobster with corn on the cob...yum.

ReplyDeleteI just ate dinner so my answer now would be to take a nap. However when I was thinking about the question earlier (while driving in the car listening to music) my answer was Ethiopian food from Nyala on Fairfax. mmmm, injera bread and all those stewy meats, cabbage, lentils, carrots.....
ReplyDeleteI just got back from one of my all-time favorite meals at Sushi Roku. And I'm stuffed. But if I could find a little room left in my belly, I'd dig into a pint of Coffee Almond Fudge ice cream. Mmm...
ReplyDeleteAnything??? Ooh! Probably a prime rib lunch at Lawry's (gotta love their spinning salad!). Or maybe some in-season organic Sequoia strawberries and a nice big artichoke (again, in season and perfect) with lots of mayonnaise.
