Question of the Day #1,203

Do you know anyone who refers to him/herself in the third person? If so, how do you feel about that?

  2. I'm amused when people do it on their blog. In person, it would really annoy me.

  3. I see it online mostly. Not so much in real life conversations.

  4. It's super retarded (for lack of a better word). Never in person, but, yes, online. Simply V is simply cool!

  5. True story: I once went on a date where she constantly did that. "Debra would like a drink." At first I thought it was cute, like an ice-breaker, but it continued. "Tell Debra more about yourself." "Debra would rather have coffee home, she thinks the coffee here sucks."

I think you can guess how I ended the evening. "Charlie says goodnight."

  7. I don't really know any offenders at the moment. I'd say you could get away with it on rare occasions for effect, but if it were constant = annoying.
