At a BBQ, friends recently described bad date stories. Like one friend, who after meeting someone on match.com and emailing a lot, finally exchanged phone numbers with the guy. He promptly sent her a naked pic of himself.
Another friend was driven almost two hours to have lunch at a taco stand.
A guy friend took a friend (who was a girl) out on what he thought was a date only to realize that his friend had no idea it was a date. He realized she didn't see him that way AT ALL.

An ex of mine took me to St. Paddy's Day festivities at a cabin in the backroads of the Ottawa Valley. The event was horrible, but worse, he got stinkin' drunk. When we were leaving, he passed out as soon as he got in the car. I was trying to navigate roads I've never been on, in the dark, no idea where I was, while suffering through the noxious fumes of a passed out drunk person.
