Question of the Day #1,226

M's mom posted a great question on Facebook today:

"I remember some of those old tobacco ads on TV. The public was lied to for a long time about cigarettes. What are we being lied to about today?"

Thank you, L.D., for the question.

Thoughts?

xoxo,
Suzanne

  1. Darn near everything - No accountability means you get nothing but lies, cover ups & scandalous behavior... Presidents lie, Judges lie, Companies lie, Doctors & lawyers lie - They even attack those that "leak" info (wiki leaks) about those that are lying... Johnny get your gun!

  2. How about the barefaced lies of the Assad regime in Syria! Makes me sick at heart for the people in that country.

  4. Hi Suzanne, I'm Mike's mom. Nice to meet you on your blog, very interesting site. I'm 63 and have seen a lot of changes thru the years. What I am most concerned about is the cost of health care and the disconnect between all the cures that have already been discovered by Medical Doctors and research scientists and how this information is not allowed to be used by our corrupt Medical system and Big Pharma. Look up the cancer cure by Dr. Linus Pauling, he won 2 Nobel Prizes, one for Chemistry in 1954 for his Vitamin C cure and one for Peace in 1962. His work on Vitamin C was discounted because he didn't have the right kind of license. But he was curing cancer. Look up Dr. Norman Cousins, at the "Tree of Life" in AZ. he is curing Diabetes and Cancer. But our health insurance will not pay for you to go there if you have either disease but they will pay for surgery, radiation, and chemo. often times killing the patient, not curing them. Our health insurance co. got almost $17,000.00 from me and my husband in 2011 just for coverage. Not including co-pays. Something is so very wrong when health ins. cost more than a mortgage. I could go on and on, but the younger generation hopefully will turn things around so they can buy a home and save for retirement instead of paying for a health care system that is not working. I will close now and check out the rest of your site.

  6. High Fructose Corn Syrup (and now they'll call it corn sugar). I don't care what you call it, it isn't healthy.

I also agree that cancer could be cured, if it was in the best interest of the medical culture. They make WAY more money treating it with drugs, chemo, radiation and surgery.

  7. So many lies about drugs these days. Some people still believe the myths and lies that the government spreads and it makes me very sad :(
