Last night, I woke to rain on the roof. Rain in Southern California in the summer is almost as rare as snow in So Cal in the winter.
It took me a few seconds to realize what it was. Then the rhythm lulled me back to sleep.
Has anything odd happened lately in your neck of the woods?

We had what seemed like a plague of FROGS in our pool last week! Over a hundred tiny little swimmers to fish out!
ReplyDeleteA frog invasion?! Holy croaks! (Yes, yes I did just write that.)
ReplyDeleteOh... I'd LOVE to read the sound of rain. We are still so in need of it here in my area of Texas.
ReplyDeleteCrazy weather here. Had rain so hard Vermont was getting nervous. Rocks rattling in the brooks. Now we have sun, sun , sun! and Heat heat, heat. Can't we have some moderation here?
ReplyDeleteAnything odd? Hmmm. I went down to the river twice this weekend and ended up seeing three things I NEVER see: a scorpion, a snake, and a big horn sheep. It was a fun kind of odd, though, especially since all three were a safe distance away.
